RACE PROCEDURES
A white line or Cone will be placed at the exit of turn 4 to indicate the
“start line”. The pole man will bring the field to the start line at a
consistent pace as required to keep the field in formation.
All cars are to maintain formation until the lead car or cars have reached the
start line.
The Steward is empowered to penalize any car violating these rules. (2nd
offence ROF) Single file restarts will take place between turn 3 and a cone
placed on the front straight.
ALL cars must pass the cone on the outside in their proper order.
The Steward is empowered to penalize any car violating these rules (ROF)
RACE RULES cont All finals will be 20 laps. There may be an exception, ie for
safety reasons or low car numbers,at the discretion of the Steward which may be
decided prior to the final (drivers to be notified) or during the running of the
final where necessary. A race is not considered officially started until the
lead car has completed the first lap. Subsequent restarts will be Indian
File. After the race has been officially started, any car stopping on a
yellow will be placed on the rear of the restarting line-up. The primary
cause of the incident (if still running),may also be placed ROF. Any car
involved in two yellow flag will be disqualified for that event(heat or
final) and not be re-started for that event. In the event of a red light during
a race, WORK IS NOT PERMITTED TO BE CARRIED OUT BY CREW ON CARS ON THE
TRACK OR INFIELD.
Any car detected gaining a position by placing their car inside the pole line
will be penalized 2 positions by the Steward for every position gained. (see VSC
rule book) Track packing (if required by the track) is compulsory. The
penalty, without a legitimate reason, will be to start ROF in heats. In the
event of a yellow caution for debris on the track, the car dropping the debris
is deemed responsible for the caution and will be restarted at the rear of the
field (if car complies with rules). A race is not considered complete until
the checkered flag appears. If a yellow or red is thrown after the checkered
flag appears, the race is officially finished with positions given in the same
manner as a yellow or red flag realignment. THERE MAY BE SPECIAL EVENT SHOWS
DURING THE YEAR THAT DO NOT FOLLOW THIS FORMAT (eg VIC TITLE).COMPETITORS WILL
BE INFORMED OF SPECIFIC PROCEDURES.ANY SUCH CHANGES WILL BE COVERED AT THE
DRIVERS MEETING Sealing of the motor is compulsory and is to be measured
and sealed by a registered person. In the event that a motor is presented for
competition with out the required seals, holding seals will be placed on the
motor and only removed by a registered person to verify compliance with the
rules.(seals on sump and timing cover minimum)

discussions with the Chief Steward and other competitors are to be conducted
through the Drivers Representative of the night. Any driver/crew member entering
