Rosedale 16/2/09
A good field turned out at
Rosedale, all keen to do well after the State Titles.
Dennis Jones won pole position in
the final with Wayne Logue drawing outside. They were a bit too keen
according to the steward and after a couple of attempts at getting them
off relegated them to the rear of the field. this left Mick Cook out in
front from Mitch Foster. Then came Michael Phillips, Rod Bowman, John
Knights , Farrer, Logue and Jones.
It wasn't long before Logue and
Jones started moving through the field but they couldn't catch Cook and
Foster .
So the placings were Cook, Foster,
Logue, Jones, Phillips, Bowman, Knights and Farrer.
Rosedale 17/1/09
The final saw Wayne Logue
after doing particularly well In the heats was on pole with Mitch Foster
on the outside.
Logue got the start with
Foster falling in behind him. Jones came out of turn two in third with
Phillips starting #5 following him through in third place. Cook was #4
on the grid and was in fifth place and a couple of laps in got past
Phillips who wasn’t having his best meeting. However a couple of laps
after that Cook had a problem and was in field. The two leaders held on
to their lead. Phillips managed to get through Jones with a lap or two
to go to come in third.
So it was Wayne Logue first followed by Mitch Foster and Michael
Phillips making up the placings.
In the first heat Mick
Cook having his first start for the season drew pole and managed to hold
off Jones and lead into turn three the first time. Daryl Logue was
driving the number 8 car and started out of 3. It was Cook that was
doing well and lead throughout with Jones coming in second form Foster,
Wayne Logue, Bowman, Phillips, Daryl Logue, Moore and Davies.

The weather was quite warm on
Saturday afternoon and it did not take long for the racing to heat up.
A good field of Sprintcars

to the class in David Moore. David has not raced cars at the speedway
but has plenty of experience with MotorX and has also raced sidecars
around the speedway.

to the lead. Wayne Logue out of 4 on the grid was really going well on
the fast track came out of turn two the first time in second place. He

Painter, Farrer and Moore. There wasn’t much in it with Wayne getting up
to Knights then Peter Logue, Phillips, Foster, Bowman trying to find a
way around Davies, Painter pulled in then Farrer and Moore.
Heat 3
After a restart Wayne Logue
on pole raced to the lead. Peter Logue followed through into second out
of #3pole and was right there with him. However midway through Wayne
opened up a sizeable lead, passing lapped cars. Peter came in second
from Phillips Bowman Foster, Knights, Farrer and Moore.
FINAL
Wayne was on pole and was
away from the start. Phillips started on #2 and was not far behind for a
while but Logue was really on the move and opened up a half lap lead.

couple laps to go. Foster got into second place from Phillips. Bowman
was in fourth place but had to pull out with a flat rear. Knights also

Ten
cars faced the starter in the 20 lap feature.
Phillips was on pole who lead
out of turn two. He was closely followed by Wayne Logue, Jones, Siely,

well how they were placed throughout. The leaders were doing well and

Rosedale
6/12/08
The VSCA
were hosted by the Rosedale club for what
is the second round of the VSCA Series after Bairnsdale was washed out a
fortnight ago.
It looked
like this could happen again as there was a heavy shower during engine
starts which called off hot laps.
After a delay
it was decided to delete the first round of heats in all classes and
start with the second heat.
Michael Phillips in the
Ford powered Phillips Racing Teams number 13 car got to the lead with
about five laps to go in the 20 lap final to take out the feature.
Wayne Logue won pole and
got away to a good start from John Knights on #2. Two laps in saw Mitch
Foster restarting at the rear after causing a stoppage.
Logue soon opened up a
good lead from Knights and Phillips. Siely was doing well in fourth
place followed by Daryl Logue driving the #8 car having his first start
with the VSCA. Wayne opened up a half to three quarter lap lead and was
rounding up the field. Knights and Phillips were having a battle with
Phillips eventually getting through.
About lap 14 Wayne Logue
pulled into the midfield which put Phillips in the lead which he held on
to take the chequered flag. He was followed by Knights, Siely, Daryl
Logue, Foster had worked up to fifth then Bowman and Davies.
Round 1 Nyora
8/11/08
There had been a shower in the morning and the day was cold with a
westerly breeze. The cars looked great most sporting new colour schemes
and track looked OK and turned quite well. Eleven teams turned out and
four heats were drawn for with each car doing 3.

Wayne Logue spun on turn 3 the first time and there was a complete
restart.
This time Foster held the lead from Philips Peter Logue, Painter,
Knights, Bowman, Fisher and Wayne Logue. Wayne made up a couple of
places and a couple of laps later spun on turn 4. He was allowed to
restart but coming out of turn two it appeared he clipped the wall going
down the back straight and rolled heavily bring out the red flag.
At
the restart it was Foster, Philips, Peter Logue, Knights, Painter,
Bowman and Fisher. Philips was up with Foster but could not get through,
Painter made a move on Knights and Fisher caused a restart with a couple
of laps to go. After the restart Knights got his place back from Painter
so the placings were,
Foster, Philips, P Logue, Knights, Painter, Bowman and Fisher
HEAT 3
This heat was a series of stoppages which resulted in the heat being
declared with several laps to be run.
Jones shot to lead from Siely who started on pole, then Philips, W
Logue, Painter, Foster and P Logue. Painter was out with a motor
problem, Peter Logue contacted Foster which resulted in a flat front so
the restart saw Jones from Siely, Philips W Logue and Foster.
Wayne got through Philips who then spun. Foster and Wayne came together
a lap or two later and the race was called leaving Jones in the lead
from Siely and Philips.
HEAT 4

Fisher, Knights, Philips, Siely and Foster. Jones got to lead at turn
one next time around, after rounding turn 4 Bowman’s came to an abrupt
